Welcome back!
My friend Nancy recently had her Viva Visibility blog re-done by Maria Reyes-McDavis, aka the Web Success Diva. What an awesome job Maria did! As a matter of fact, even though I’ve just had this sucker created, I am going to have her redo mine as well.
She has added so much dynamic functionality that Nancy’s PR went up within about an hour! Maria is this cool web biz owner that is so secure, she shares how she runs her business with anyone who asks. She posted a couple of great informative screen capture vids sharing how she did the blog makeover but the thing that would’ve made the videos even better, would’ve been embedding it from viddler.com.
Why am I a viddler.com groupie? It all started when Rob Sandie, co-founder and President of Viddler, favorited one of my videos!
Ok, I was flattered but seriously, the tagging feature on Viddler is a lifesaver for people who don’t edit. Some people will watch 6 minutes straight of video but when it comes to information, truth be told, I just want the juicy bits. With Viddlers GENEROUS 500MB video upload maximum you can post some pretty high quality looking videos too. Makes sense for a blog embed. I would still use Youtube for #’s alone but Viddler’s got my vote for form and function.
Check out Colin Devroe’s use of the functionality, I’m talking about. Each of those dots represents a note or comment on the video. (I commented at the very beginning.) You can also read the blog post to the vid here: http://blog.viddler.com/cdevroe/howto-videoblogging/
So tell me am I the only Viddlerholic? Am I crazy? Why isn’t everyone and their mother using Viddler embeds?
